Reed dreamed of becoming a professional entertainer since the age of 4, when he began studying musical theatre at North Carolina Theatre Conservatory in Raleigh, NC. Reed’s dreams turned into reality at the age of 13, when he was cast in the roles of Young Berry Gordy, Young Stevie Wonder, and Young Michael Jackson in the First National Tour of Broadway’s “Motown the Musical”. Over a 16-month period Reed performed in over 275 stage shows before audiences ranging in size from 2000 – 4000, in 22 US cities. He received positive extraordinary mentions of his performances in published reviews across the country.
Reed moved to Hollywood, and successfully transitioned from Broadway to the film and tv industry, while completing high school. Reed was The Voice Announcer of The Cartoon Network, was the series regular voice of Singing AJ in the Nick Jr. show “Blaze and the Monster Machines” for over 40 episodes and appeared as a guest star in popular Nickelodeon shows. He played roles in the hit ABC tv comedy series “Speechless” and in “Station 19”, the celebrated ABC primetime spinoff series of “Grey’s Anatomy”. Currently, Reed is the Voice of Ekko in the 2022 Emmy Award winning (Outstanding Animated Series) “Arcane” produced by Riot Games, based on the popular League of Legends franchise. As a teenager, Reed founded and hosted an entertainer’s performance platform called “Expressions”, powered by INDISTRY tv and media, which presented stage exposure opportunities for artists in Los Angeles, Chicago, and Atlanta. Reed is also a stand-up comedian, who has pulled laughs out of audiences at the Asher Theatre in Myrtle Beach, SC, the Laugh Factory in Chicago, and at Flappers Comedy Club in Burbank, CA
Reed has performed, presented motivational messages, and participated on panels at assemblies, conferences, and conventions across America. Charitably, he performs community service, visits communities and schools, and shares the message that Success IS a Reach Away! He recently launched a Foundation named Change Requires Choice, which provides scholarship funds for college students. Reed has been a featured entertainer and National Anthem singer during WNBA LA Sparks games; a soloist for the historic US Postal Service unveiling of the Kwanzaa Stamp, and he had rave reviews cast as Sonny in the NC Theatre regional Broadway production of In The Heights. Reed made his silver screen debut in the movie, “Canal Street” {canalstreetmovie.com}. Soul Play is the title of Reed’s first album, released through Aviator World Entertainment, founded by Amir Windom, and his second album is on the way! The Meta (Facebook) program “We The Culture” selected Reed to be an Artist / Creator two years in a row, and you can see Reed on Amazon Prime now, as he brings Scotty Sims to life in The Wilds Season II!
